Lucky for me, being Canadian, I have celebrated Thanksgiving already once in October. We did the whole Turkey, stuffing and Jim Beam egg nog with a massive group of fellow Canadians here in Maui. What a wonderful excuse for a feast. Getting together with friends and family to eat is beautiful – but wow what a massive amount of preparation this feast takes. Turkey is not the easiest thing to cook well. So, for this second celebration of Thanksgiving for me here in the States I have decided to forego the already enjoyed Turkey dinner and make a delicious Beer Can Chicken Feast! Yummmmm!
Really, I am just writing today to wish everyone a wonderful day of thanks. We have so much to be thankful for in our lives, and with a day called Thanksgiving, it gives us an opportunity to really think about the things and people we can spread and share our thanks with. Today, turn to your neighbor, friend, brother, sister, parent, kid, or stranger and smile. Be thankful for the people around you that make this world so much less lonely. I’ll take this opportunity to thank those of you who insist on sharing my thoughts with me. Thank you for listening and for the ongoing support!
On a final note I want to spread the wonderful news of my friends Graeme Sykes and Lisa Hickes – in the wee hours of this Thanksgiving morning they were blessed with a beautiful little girl! What a wonderful morning for them – they were saving the sex of the baby as the final surprise of the whole pregnancy! Congratulations Graeme and Lisa!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
